Virtually every major human history events garlic was present. The 6000 years before Christ, various peoples of Asia already knew and used the plant for medicinal purposes and the use of cooking. According to archaeologists numerous tribes inhabiting Asia Minor used to collect the plant in the field. Already in this period the plant, was used in the preparation of spices and production of syrups. Because of its high power of preservation on food, garlic is no longer collected spontaneously and were being planted by farmers .The 4000 BC, extensive arable land ranges have become intended for planting grass. Both in the river Ganges (India) as the river Nile (Egypt), garlic planting had hundreds of farmers and slaves in the field. The higher demand was greater than the demand for the plant, eventually being sold in major cities in the ancient world
Outside the Egyptian domain, garlic also won admiration and respect among all the peoples of the ancient world. Greeks, Babylonians, Phoenicians and Romans developed several medicinal recipes with the plant .. In the ruin of Knossos palace in Greta island were found jars with garlic dated 1400 -1800 Ac. The same of Egyptians, the Greeks garlic was associated with energy, vitality and health but not much popularized.
